The I.W.I. (Israeli Weapon Industries) Tavor Tar 21 is one of the most innovative guns in the small arms industry. Currently issued to the I.D.F. (Israeli Defense Force), the Tar 21 replaced the legendary M4/M16, which had been used for over 40 years.
The Umarex TAR-21 outer body is constructed from a high strength ABS plastic, keeping both the gun's overall weight and cost down. The gearbox is constructed entirely out of metal. The internal gears are metal as well, as is the outer barrel. Since the Umarex TAR-21 is a bullpup design, the overall length of the rifle is shorter, yet, it still uses a standard M4 (363mm) inner barrel. The functioning bolt catch and ergonomic design of the TAR-21 make it a great choice when deciding on a bullpup AEG.
