Just like the real MG42, this replica is predominantly constructed from durable alloy, with a real wood stock and a polymer pistol grip. The grip is a very convincing recreation of the brown Bakelite plastic favoured by German weapon designers of the 1930s. The wooden stock is hollow, and contains the battery storage compartment. To ensure that the Airsoft gun fires efficiently, the magazine’s automatic feed system is hardwired into the MG42, meaning that every time you pull the trigger the magazine will automatically wind ammunition and feed the gun. It’s an incredibly well-designed system which is both efficient and reduces the chance of miss-feeds. The magazine is conveniently powered by 4x AA batteries, meaning that replacements are easy to acquire.
