Amoeba AM-003 Tactical Pistol replica
The latest Amoeba Airsoft AEG range is based on the well-known design AR type assault rifles, however Amoeba have considerably modified and enriched the designs and added some interesting technical solutions, which improve not only their functionality but also their look. Thanks to its compact dimensions, AM-003 is very handy and constitutes a perfect tool during airsoft CQB actions or a back up for a sniper.
The AEG's receiver is made of strengthened nylon. The quality of the materials used has the result in that it is very difficult to recognise on the first sight whether it's plastic or metal.
Trade Markers of the model, calibre and Amoeba Airsoft's logo are engraved on the receiver. Metal was used to produced the outer barrel, the magazine and some small pieces. The sling mount was made of steel. The pistol grip, properly shaped, covered with a non-slip texture which improves grip and comfort. The magazine release button has been enlarged in order to make mag changes easier.
AM-003 is equipped with a RIS rail mounted on the top, which makes it possible to mount a wide range of additional accessories - a scope for example. Aiming devices consisting of front and rear sights are integrated with the rail. Access to a hop-up system is achieved by pulling the charging handle and opening the shell ejector. The outer barrel ends with a 14mm right-hand thread.
AM-003's gearbox design makes it possible to replace the spring quickly, with no necessity of dismantling the gearbox. The heart of the AEG is a strengthened modified gearbox v. 2, which possesses an integrated EFCS module - Electronic Firing Control System. It controls the operation of the trigger mechanism, resulting in a very smooth operation and shorter trigger time. A standard trigger switch assembly was replaced by an electronic system. The EFCS also has a built-in MOSFET system.
EFCS considerably increases the mechanism's life span and the whole replica as well and it allows to use high-voltage batteries, including LiPo. An accessory (available separately) EFCS programmer allows the user to program different fire modes as well as the burst mode (a three BBs series).
The magazine is a hi-cap with capacity of 300rds and made of steel.
