A faithful reproduction of the classic Walther P38 pistol designed to replace the German Luger P08 as a more cost effective alternative and went into service just 1 year prior to the start of World War II.
This replica includes many of the design features of the real pistol including the magazine catch located on the base of the magwell, plastic grip and lanyard hook. With a full metal construction and full blowback that locks the slide on empty, this is the most interactive P38 replica we've got our hands on yet. It field strips exactly like its real world counterpart, breaking down into slide and frame for easy maintenance - exactly like you would with any modern self loading pistol. From here you can access, lubricate and maintain the nozzle - a vital working part of the pistol. The pistol cycles cleanly and the recoil is crisp as you would expect from any WE blowback pistol, throwing rounds down range at a respectable 90m/s when the mag is at ambient temperature.
